ABBEX BUSINESS BROKERS

Lately we are getting a large increase in phone calls from current businesses sellers unhappy with their original broker looking to switch to ABBEX. There broker collected the listing and ghosted them. And since that broker overpriced the listing just to get the contract the business just sits on the market with little interest. We don’t mind healthy, honest, ethical competition at all – in fact it makes everyone better, benefits the customer, and overall improves the industry. A few things to consider however before signing any broker contract: 1) You are likely locked into their lengthy/wordy contract – up to 2 years with “tails”. ABBEX uses no tails. 2) How long has this particular broker been in Sarasota and Manatee County? And are they even living here? Most are not and mask that fact with PO boxes, claim they are local, etc. when in reality they are not even here in our community. 3) How long have they been at this? Is it a brand new career for them? We’ve been here since 1978 – a fact NO other business broker can touch. And experience is critical in this process – you do not want a rookie attempting to learn the brokerage business. 4) Be leery of brokers that have bounced around, a few of the newest brokers actually have very checked pasts.
